The Pathfinder is the go-to manual for creating your perfect career.  I credit this book with helping me turn around my own career!  It includes A LOT of exercises to get you moving in the right direction -but be warned - it will only get you there if you are truly disciplined to stick with it.

Now What? The young person's guide to choosing the perfect career, by Nicholas Lore

This is career guru Nicholas Lore's guide for young career-seekers.  It's more digestible than his earlier "Pathfinder" but no less profound.

Let Your Life Speak: Listening for the voice of vocation, by Parker J. Palmer

"Vocation does not come from willfulness, no matter how noble one's intentions. It comes from listening to and accepting 'true self' with its limits as well as its potentials."

This quick read hits home to anyone that has travelled a long ways down a career path only to realize it's the wrong one.   

Trombone Player Wanted Short Film Series

Wow, this DVD series is awesome to watch!  It gives me goose-bumps each time I see it - especially disks 1-4.  If you're struggling to nail down your own strengths and answer the question, "What are you good at?"...watch it/rent it/own it!

The Secret: Audio Edition, read by the author Rhonda Byrne

I love anything that I can listen to instead of read...and I also found the 4-disk audio version to be more powerful than the book.  The reason is that you can actually hear each of the contributors tell you, in their own voice, how they live The Secret every day.  An essential resource for anyone wanting to make break-through changes in their life.

The Success Principles: How to get from where you are to where you want to be, by Jack Canfield

Lots of great themes about creating your future intentionally, identifying your vision and goals... and not settling for anything less than you deserve!  Pretty perinent stuff for anyone considering a career-change.
